Tajweed Module 2


 

This course continues on from the level 1 course and mainly focuses on extended practice of recitation and tajweed rules implementation in reading. The course is suitable for anyone who has studied some tajweed before at a basic level so that he/she is aware of the common rules and is able to recite with some tajweed application but now requires more prolonged training and practice. Please note: To allow for a 2 week buffer at the end of the course, as our 10 and 12 weeks courses sometimes have a 1 week break inbetween the term and also additional classes at the end to recover any unexpected missed classes. You will be informed of the dates when you start the courses.

 

IMPORTANT - THERE IS NO CLASS BETWEEN 21ST DEC 2015 TO 3RD JAN 2016.

Tajweed Module 2


This course continues on from the Module 1 course and mainly focuses on extended practice of recitation and tajweed rules implementation in reading. The course is suitable for anyone who has studied some tajweed before at a basic level so that he/she is aware of the common rules and is able to recite with some tajweed application but now requires more prolonged training and practice.

 

 

Following are the objectives of this Module:

 

1) Practical reading: - for one to continue to improve in reading with the basic rules inntroduced in the previous module. Thereafter, at the end of this course a student should have become more fluent in reading while maintaining the accuracy likewise. One should be able to implement in their reading the rules of Tajweed which is introduced at this level.

 

 

2) Theory:- To learn the basic rules (theory and practical) of the following:

  • Nun Sakin and Tanweed rules: Izhaar, Ikhfaa, Idghaam and Iqlab
  • Meem Sakin
  • 'Laam' of Allah

 

3) Memorisation: - To memorise 10 surahs of the Qur`an (at-Teen - Humazah) with full tajweed. (Please not memorisation of Surahs may differ with some student, depending on if they have previosuly memeorised these surahs correctly)

Shaykh Jabed Choudhury


Shaykh Jabed is a graduate from the Institute of Islamic Education in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. He received ijazah in hadith studies under the guidance of Shaykhul Hadith Mufti Muslihuddin, Shaykh Yusuf Darwan, Shaykh Mufti Musa Badat and Shaykh Abul Qasim.

 

He also gained ijaazah in al-Qira’aatal-Sab’ah wal Asharah primarily from Shaykh Imtiyaz Vali then from Shaykhul Hadith Mufti Muslihuddin.

 

During his studies at the Institute of Islamic Education, he was introduced to Islamic Calligraphy by renowned Khattat, Haji Nazeer Ahmed Quraishi, from whom he learnt the Indian Naskh and Farsi scripts.

 

Currently specialising in the Diwani Script under the guidance of the famous khattat, Dr Nassar Mansour of Amman, Jordan. Dr Mansour is a master calligrapher who gained his Ijaza from world renowned calligrapher (Khattat) Hasan Chelbi of Istanbul in 2003. Dr Mansour is known for reviving the Muhaqqaq script, traditionally used for copying the Quran for its grandeur.
