Mothers of the Believers - Lives of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

 

A short course on the inspirational life of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Why were they so inspirational? What lessons can we learn from their experiences? How can we benefit from their lives today and more?

 

An exploration of the lives of these ‘Mothers of the Believers’ will bring to light the fact that female believers played a vital role in Islamic society, and the efforts that we see today from the Muslims are inspired from these great women of the past. This course will help dispel any misconceptions by bringing into focus biographies of the first generation of Muslim women and the important roles they played in the overall development of their society, right from the onset. 

 

The course will cover the lives of:

1. Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (ra)

2. Sawdah bint Zam’a (ra)

3. Aishah bint Abu Bakr (ra)

4. Maymunah bint al-Haarith (ra)

5. Hafsah bint Umar ibn Al-Khattab (ra)

6. Zaynab bint Khuzaymah (ra)

7. Safiyyah bint Huyayy ibn Akhtab (ra)

8. Zaynab bint Jahsh (ra)

9. Umm Habibah bint Abu Sufyan (ra)

10. Umm Salamah bint Abu Umayyah (ra)

11. Juwayriyah bint al-Haarith (ra)
