Refreshers Arabic


Prerequisites

Students should have already studied the equivalent of Arabic Intensive Nahw and Sarf, or Modular Arabic levels 1 to 5. However, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.

Course overview
This course is for students who have studied all of the major components of Nahw and Sarf and require a practical refresher. It is a hands-on course where students will be working on different grammatical components each week and answering exercises. The topics and exercises will be delivered from Wheeler Thackston’s “An Introduction to Koranic and Classical Arabic”.

Duration:  3 hours a week for 24 weeks

Course overview

 

This course is for students who have studied all of the major components of Nahw and Sarf and require a practical refresher. It is a hands-on course where students will be working on different grammatical components each week and answering exercises. The topics and exercises will be delivered from Wheeler Thackston’s “An Introduction to Koranic and Classical Arabic”.

 

Alongside topic presentation and practical exercises, students will read through some literature pieces. This could be from Abul Hasan al-Nadwi’s al-Qiraa’at al-Rashidah or other texts depending on the class. This part of the course will focus on reading, comprehension and writing.
