Stories of the Prophets


It's time you know what happened to the great prophets of Allah (swt). Have you ever wondered about the stories of the previous prophets and their people?

 

A rare 12 week course covering the stories of the prophets. The course will cover the lives of hte prophets who were sent down before Muhammad (saw) by Allah (swt) to spread the true message of the oneness of Allah (swt). How much do you know about the story of Adam (as)? Why was Yusuf (as) thrown into a well? What happened with Musa (as) and the Pharoh? Was 'Isa (as) crucified? How did Yunus (as) end up in the belly of the whale? This course will answer all of these questions and more. Growing up in the UK we often hear the stories of our prophets through the narrations of Christianity and other religions. Isn't it time we know what Islam tells us about our prophets?

 

In this 12 week course full of adventure and spiritual elevation, you will journey through the lives of these amazing Prophets (alayhum assalam) and detailed description of their people.

 

Please note: To allow for a 2 week buffer at the end of the course, as our 10 and 12 weeks courses sometimes have a 1 week break inbetween the term and also additional classes at the end to recover any unexpected missed classes. You will be informed of the dates when you start the courses.

Week 1
Introduction: The importance of knowing about the prophets and the messengers. The difference between the prophet and messenger. Their number. Why we need them. The special qualities of the prophets. Their duties. How can they recognise. The sources about them.      
Week 2
THE STORY OF ADAM (AS): Is Adam a messenger or just a prophet, The creation of Adam and Hawwa, In which Jannah was Adam, The story of Iblice with Adam, And the story of Adam’s two sons.
 
 THE STORY OF IDRIS (AS).
Week 3
 THE STORY OF NUH (AS): The beginning of worshipping idols, Calling toward Allah, The Ark and the flood.
 
THE STORY OF HUD (AS):  Calling toward Allah, Debate of the polytheist, The punishment.
 
THE STORY OF SALIH (AS): The people of Saleh, Thamood asks to see a miracle, Killing the she-camel, Destruction of Thamood.
 
Week 4
THE STORY OF IBRAHIM (AS): Breaking statues and thrown in fire, Leaving to the holy land, Debate with the king, Debate about the stars and the planets worshippers, Ibrahim in Egypt, The birth of Ismail (AS), Travelling to Mekkah, Sacrifice of Ismail, Building Al-Ka`bah, His status, His pages As-Suhuf.
 
THE STORY OF ISMAIL (AS): His birth, The sacrifice, His children.
Week 5
THE STORY OF LUT (AS): Corruption of his people, Angels at Lut’s place, Destruction of his people by morning.

THE STORY OF SHUAIB (AS): Delusion of the people of Madyan, Warning of Shuaib, Destruction of his nation.
Week 7
THE STORY OF MUSA (AS): His birth, His life before prophecy, His meeting with Shuaib (AS), Receiving messenger ship, his  miracles, His story with Pharaoh, In the desert of Sinai, Musa receiving At-Tawrah, Children of Israel,  His story with Al-Khadir, The death of Musa, His book At-Tawrah.

Week 8
THE STORY OF DAWUD (AS): Dawood with Talut, Dawood killing Jaloot(Goliath), Dawood as a king and prophet, His miracles, His profession, the holy book Az-Zabor.

THE STORY OF ZAKARIYYA (AS): Zakareyya asking for a son in old age, Allah responds to his retest.
 
THE STORY OF YAHYA (AS): The characteristics of Yahya.
 
THE STORY OF ISA (AS): His birth, His miracles, His disciples, Uplifting of Isa, His return at the end of the time, His book Al-Ingeel

THE STORY OF MUHAMMAD (SAW): His life in summary, His status, His virtues, his unique qualities, His book Al-Quran, Comparing between him and the other prophets and the messengers.

Conclusion: All the prophets came with one religion which is Islam, the wisdom of sending different prophets, There will be no prophet after Muhammad (saw). 

Shaykh Muhammad Sbini


 

Shaykh Muhammad Sbini was born in 1967 in Damascus ( Syria). He studied Shariah under the Grand Mufti of Syria Shaykh Ahmad Keftaro (RA) for about 15 years, at the Shariah Institute for Dawah and Guidance (Abu An-noor).

After he graduated he continued his education in The International Faculty for Dawah ( Damascus). He came to England in 1992 and has been involved in different Islamic activities and taught several different Islamic subjects such as Arabic, Usul Al-Fiqh, Shafe’e Fiqh, Aqeedah, and Seerah.

In 2002 he began lecturing at Ebrahim College and he has taught Arabic and Aqeedah. He currently teaches Seerah of The Prophet Muhmmad (SAW), and the Stories of The Prophets (Qasas Al-Anbiya).
