The Rightly Guided Khulafaa


This course covers the early post prophetic era and looks at the lives and rule of the four successors to leadership of the muslim people after the passing of the prophet Muhammad (SAW). Students will learn the history and have the opportunity to understand and examine how the condition of Islam and the muslims faired against politics and other worldly influences in the beloved Prophets legacy.

Please note: To allow for a 2 week buffer at the end of the course, as our 10 and 12 weeks courses sometimes have a 1 week break inbetween the term and also additional classes at the end to recover any unexpected missed classes. You will be informed of the dates when you start the courses.

What will be covered:

 

1. Introduction including

  • The meaning of Khilafah
  • The meaning of khalifah
  • The obligation to establish Khilafah
  • The obligation to have Khalifah
  • The conditions of Khalifah
  • The duties and the rights of Khalifah
  • It is not allowed to have more than one Khalifh in the same time.
  • Who are al-Khulafa ar-Rashidun
  • The importance of knowing about al-Khilafah Ar-Rashidah.
  • The sources, refrances and the books about al-Khulafa ar-Rashidun.

 

2. Lives of the Four Khalifs including the following:

  • His family 
  • His life before Islam 
  • How they accepted Islam
  • His life with the prophet
  • How they became Khalifah
  • Their lives as a Khalifah and the most important incidents during their respective era
 

 

What you will learn in this Seminar:
 
  1. Recognise the different leadership techniques of the Khulafaa.
  2. Appreciate the sacrifices and sincerity of the Sahaabah.
  3. Recall historical events whose outcome impacts modern events and geopolitics
  4. Learn how the best of people dealt with the situations they faced at their times.
  5. And - most importantly - if the darkness of ignorance and division and propaganda descends in your lifetime, you will know what to clench on to.

Shaykh Muhammad Sbini


 

Shaykh Muhammad Sbini was born in 1967 in Damascus ( Syria). He studied Shariah under the Grand Mufti of Syria Shaykh Ahmad Keftaro (RA) for about 15 years, at the Shariah Institute for Dawah and Guidance (Abu An-noor).

After he graduated he continued his education in The International Faculty for Dawah ( Damascus). He came to England in 1992 and has been involved in different Islamic activities and taught several different Islamic subjects such as Arabic, Usul Al-Fiqh, Shafe’e Fiqh, Aqeedah, and Seerah.

In 2002 he began lecturing at Ebrahim College and he has taught Arabic and Aqeedah. He currently teaches Seerah of The Prophet Muhmmad (SAW), and the Stories of The Prophets (Qasas Al-Anbiya).
