Alim Course Entry Requirements
Students may seek admission at any level of the Alim Course that is currently running at EC. This varies from time to time. Please equire to find out which levels are available. If you are applying to start the Alim course, their are no entry requirements as the course commences from the very basics. Part time Alim course students must check if the course they are applying to study has any specific entry requirements. Generally, applicants must demonstrate that they are able to study in English and have a profound zeal to learn. All full time students and some part-time students will be invited for an interview.
Applicants applying to study a course above level 1 must demonstrate competency in Arabic, English and core Islamic Sciences taught up to the level that the applicant is seeking admission for. EC will determine competency through an entry assessment.
