Our Vision
The vision of Ebrahim al-Khalil Trust is to seek the maximum advancement of the following ongoing objectives:
1. To develop and promote a system of education at all levels – from reception to postgraduate – that is broad in its scope and reach, balanced in its variety, and Islamic in its ethos; and likewise establish educational institutes that implement such a system.
2. To continuously produce talented, highly qualified, skilled and trained, Alims by:
- developing and offering specialist courses in the Islamic Sciences such as the Alim course followed by other post-graduate courses, alongside courses and modules that develop core academic and professional skills;
- by seeking out and attracting the best talent in the Muslim community to take up such courses and become competent Alims;
- combining the best of modern and traditional teaching methods to bring the best out of students studying the Alim course.
3. To develop a hub of academic activity in the form of debates, seminars, lectures, conferences, and research and publications for academics, professionals, students and members of the public.
4. To create an academic platform for better understanding, co-operation, pro-active collaboration and overall social cohesion between the following and other such groups of people:
- Muslims and non-Muslims in all walks of life
- The religious leadership of differing faiths
- Ulama and Imams, and Muslim professionals and academics of other fields.
- Different Muslim groups, movements and ideologies.
